Woot Wednesday!

Posted on August 20, 2008 at 12:22 a.m.

Are any of you familiar with www.woot.com? Well they are a website that offers fun and inexpensive deals on a myriad of items.  Every once in a while they put up a "bag of crap"  for only $5.00.  You don't know what you are getting... it is always a mystery.  My sister has friends that bought the "bag of crap"  and got a plasma screen TV!  Yep!  For only $5.00.  Now they put up the "bag of crap" intermittently and there are only a limited number.  Sometimes the "bag of crap" really is just that... a "bag of crap"  but other times it is something as fabulous as a TV!  You take your chances but the risk is only $5.00 plus shipping.

Why am I posting about this you may ask?  Well today is "WOOT WEDNESDAY" here at Tinkering Ink and on our website we are offering a limited number of our own version of... a "bag of scrap".  Click here to buy one or 20!

You can go and buy as many of these as you want until they are gone!  When it's over it's over.  They are filled with tons of fabulous items ranging from just a few dollars to BIG dollar amounts... far more than the mere $5.00 you are paying.  The website will calculate shipping based on your zip code and we will send you your package!

SO... spread the word, share the love... get your "bag of scrap" now!  Hurry before they run out!  Then leave us a comment when you get your package and tell us what was in it that you loved!

I spy a "Roughrider" who uses Ti!

We found this great LO at scrapbook.com.  It is by "Unicorn"  aka Glenda Tkalac from Saskatchewan, Canada.   You can find her work hereWe just LOVE how Glenda used the geometric nature of this Retro Metro paper and played up the squares.  Her journaling inside the squares is genius and the overall effect of this lay-out is simply divine!  Hey Glenda!  Thanks for using Ti!

If you know Glenda drop her an e-mail and tell her she is on our BLOG today!

Cards...

Posted on August 18, 2008 at midnight

How often do you mail (not email) cards to your loved ones?  I don't do it enough.  And talking on the telephone to my grandma the other day reminded me that I should send cards more often.  She reminds me how she loves to receive cards, letters, and photos in the mail.

And what a great way to play with your scrapbook supplies!  Here are 3 cards that I hope inspire you to make and mail a card to someone you are thinking of today.

Finally Freebie Friday! (aka I hate airports)

Posted on August 15, 2008 at 1:46 p.m.

Well I gather that you all may have been wondering what happened to Freebie Friday!  Well I am perfectly willing to tell you!  I was supposed to be home from Detroit yesterday evening... After a delayed flight that caused me to miss my scheduled connection and then a canceled flight which left me in the Cincinnati airport for some hours... then 3 hours in a comped hotel room and then back to the Cinci airport where I finally got on to a flight to Salt Lake City.   THEN... we landed in SLC and couldn't find our car in the long-term parking!  After two hours we finally found Paul's sister's car with the help of the security team.  Paul's sister had traded us cars so she could borrow my SUV to drive around numerous children while we were gone... SO... Here are a few things I learned...

1-Communication is key no matter what the relationship.

2-When you park your car in a vast sea of other vehicles, for example-at the airport... just snap a photo with your phone or camera of the section you are in.  This way when you get home you can just look at the picture and voila!  find your car! (or your sister-in-law's car)

3-I hate airports (but am grateful that I wasn't stuck as long as the people who were at the gate that had been delayed 7 hours and all they got was a free slice of pizza)

Hence I just walked in the door and ran right to the computer to post this!

SO... On to the FREEBIES FOR TODAY!

We are giving away over $100.00 worth of great stuff to feed your scrapping addictions...
